EPISODE 016 - WIDOW:


click for larger version Widow was a female youma under the control of Nephrite in episode 016 (Junpaku dress no yume! Usagi hanayome ni naru). Her mission was to gather the energy of home economics teacher Higure Akiyama once she reached her peak energy output. Nephrite put his evil crest on a stretch of silk fabric which was purchased by Akiyama in order to make a wedding dress for a competition held at Juuban Hall. Akiyama became increasingly obsessed with making her dress. At the competition, she finally reached her peak energy, and Widow emerged from the fabric. Ami, Rei, and Usagi were at the competition, so they quickly transformed into Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Moon. Widow rushes towards the three girls and spits out a web which wraps around Sailor Moon. As Widow folds the silk of the web, she says, "I will weave a beautiful shroud for you! But of course, I have to weave you into it!" Sailor Mercury uses her Sabão Spray attack to fill the air with mist and disorient the youma. Sailor Mars uses her Fire Soul attack to destroy the web which is encasing Sailor Moon. Widow rushes through the mist, confused about where the girls are. Sailor Moon uses this opportunity to utilize her Moon Tiara Action attack, destroying the youma once and for all. Akiyama and the other people left unconscious in the auditorium awaken with no recollection of what happened.

click for larger version Widow has purple hair and two large red eyes along with several smaller red eyes on her forehead. She is somewhat like a cross between a human and a spider. She has a human-like body with orange skin, but she also has a spider-like abdomen which is black with yellow lines as markings. Along with her human-like arms and legs, she has a total of eight appendages. She is able to move at great speeds on all eight of her legs, though when she is stationary, she stands on her two human-like legs. Her seiyuu was Yuko Mita.
