EPISODE 010 - KIGAAN:


click for larger version Kigaan is a female youma under the control of Jadeite in episode 010. Her objective is to help him gather energy from humans in order to revive Queen Metallia. Kigaan assumed human form and posed as a bus driver as part of one of Jadeite's schemes to steal energy. Jadeite posed as a worker at Hikawa Jinja, selling good-luck amulets to young girls. These amulets caused the girls to fall into a trance-light state. They would then board the 6:00 PM bus near Sendai Hill (which was being driven by Kigaan). The bus then floated through a black hole in the sky while the girls were unconscious. Once on the other side (which was in an alternate dimension), Kigaan collected their energy for Jadeite. During the third such attempted abduction, Usagi managed to board the bus, disguised as a bus attendant. In the other dimension, Usagi transformed into Sailor Moon and confronted Kigaan, telling her that her actions were unforgivable. Meanwhile, at Hikawa Jinja, Rei had discovered Jadeite's scheme. When she confronted him, he opened a black hole which sucked her through to the other side. Kigaan managed to catch the young girl and hold her hostage. Sailor Moon attempted an click for larger version attack with "Moon Tiara Action," but Kigaan was able to jump over the spinning tiara. Phobos and Deimos, who had also come through the same black hole as Rei, began pecking Kigaan, who then released Rei. After shooing the birds away, the youma caught Sailor Moon's tiara in her hand. This was evidently what Sailor Moon had planned, because the tiara then wrapped around Kigaan, temporarily incapacitating her and giving Rei just enough time to transform into Sailor Mars. Sailor Mars then quickly destroyed Kigaan with her "Fire Soul" attack. The buses, of course, are returned safely to Sendai Hill after the battle.

As a human, Kigaan wore a bus driver uniform, with the hat pulled down over her eyes. She never spoke, only smugly laughed. When she transformed into her youma form, she was more vocal. She had leathery brown skin, wild red hair, and yellow eyes. She had fang-like teeth and claw-like hands, and was a full head taller than Rei. Her seiyuu was Reiko Yamada
