She was ordered by Kaolinite to seek out Tsutomu Asai because of the pure heart he displayed in his passion for the sport of volleyball. While Tsutomu was in the middle of volleyball practice, the daimon suddenly came to life and managed to corner him and knock his girlfriend, the captain of the team, unconcious by serving an explosive ball of energy at them. Highkyuun was initially prevented from extracting Tsutomu's Heart Crystal by the intervention of Sailor Venus, but later succeeded in this task by surprising the Sailor Soldier and using a net made of energy to incapacitate her. When Kaolinite discovered that Tsutomu's Heart Crystal did not contain a Talisman, she ordered Highkyuun to kill both the victim and Sailor Venus. In response to this, the daimon encased the Heart Crystal in an energy ball the shape of a volleyball and served it to her opponent, but a team effort by the newly arrived Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Mars allowed them to recover the ball of energy. However, they quickly discovered that Highhkyuun could control the ball from a distance in order to attack them, and rather than risking damage to the pure heart inside, they avoided it instead. The daimon attacked with "Service Ace Thunder Highkyuun," in which she woud wind up and serve energy volleyballs at very high speeds, but this attack was countered by Sailor Venus's "Flying Somersault Receive," which also knocked the ball into the arms of Sailor Mars. This surprised the Highkyuun, giving Sailor Moon the distraction she needed to perform Moon Spiral Heart Attack and destroy the daimon. Highkyuun had blye eyes, brown hair, and light blue skin.
