ANIME

Galaxia is the new villain in Sailor Stars, and she is the leader of the Animamates. Her first
role is in episode 167, as simply a mysterious voice that urged Nehellenia to her seal in order
to force Sailor Saturn's awakening. Her first full appearance is in episode 173. Long ago,
Galaxia was an extremely powerful soldier who fought against Chaos, an evil entity that was
terrorizing the universe. She felt that the only way to stop Chaos was by sealing it within
her own body, which she did. However, Chaos began to slowly consume her with its evil, greed,
and ambition. Before she completely lost control to Chaos, she sent away her starseed, the "light of hope"
in the form of ChibiChibi in the hopes that it would be kept safe. She soon grew evil and
began her journey to take over the galaxy. She went from planet to planet, destroying those
who opposed her and collecting starseeds for herself. In this way, she found her minions -
those who wished for power and did not oppose her were given bracelets to keep them alive,
despite their lack of starseeds. Finally, Galaxia reaches Earth with four Animamates: Tin

Nyanko, Aluminum Seiren, Lead Crow, and Iron Mouse, but the Animamates were quickly killed
for their failures on Earth when Galaxia destroyed their bracelets. Because Galaxia is
so powerful, the attacks of the senshi cannot harm her. Recognizing this, Uranus and Neptune
give up their starseeds and accept bracelets, becoming her servants in hopes of somehow
destroying her. They turn against her in an attempt to kill her, but are killed themselves
instead. Once all of the senshi of Earth have been killed except for Sailor Moon, Galaxia
becomes completely possessed by Chaos and tries to take Sailor Moon's Starseed. ChibiChibi,
Galaxia's starseed, transforms into a starseed, and then into a sword for Princess Serenity
to use in order to fight Galaxia. She does not want to fight, but eventually uses the sword
against Galaxia. The sword is destroyed, but Serenity offers her kindness to appeal to
Galaxia's inner goodness to force Chaos out of her body. Chaos is returned to where it belongs,
inside the hearts of everyone, rather than in just one person. Galaxia, now good, releases
the Starseeds of the people of Earth, and leaves to guide the other Starseeds back to their
homes all across the universe. Galaxia's seiyuu is
Mitsuko Horie.
MANGA

Galaxia is the leader of the Shadow Galactica empire who first appears in Act 43, Volume 16.
She was born alone on a planet that she felt was "trash," and therefore felt that she, too,
was "trash." She awakened as a Sailor Soldier, but felt that being a soldier of a planet of
"trash" was not good enough for her. She left her planet in search of a better place. While
traveling, she came upon a bar and asked about the place "where stars are born." Not finding
an answer, she left the bar, but was confronted outside by Chaos in the form of Wiseman. It
told her of the place she was looking for - the Galaxy Cauldron, where stars are born. Chaos
has merged with the Cauldron, and Galaxia discovers that in order to control the Cauldon, she
must eliminate Chaos. In order to do so, she needs the galaxy's ultimate power. She hoped
to use the powerful Saffer Crystal in conjunction with Sailor Moon's ginzuishou (the strongest
Sailor Crystal in the galaxy) to gain the power to defeat Chaos. When she had gathered all
of the Sailor Crystals except for Sailor Moon's, she combined the Saffer Crystal with her
own body in order to become the armour-plated Golden Senshi. She has travelled from planet
to planet, destroying each and collecting the Sailor Crystals from the guardian senshi of
each. Along the way, she has met those who wish badly to become true senshi, who would

become her followers because she promised them that power. These became her minions, the
Animamates. Her last goal is Earth. Galaxia appears first in Act 43 to kill Mamoru and
take his Sailor Crystal (it
is a Sailor Crystal, named so in Act 49). She and her
Animamates manage to take all of the Sailor Crystals of the Solar System until only
Eternal Sailor Moon is left. She mocks Sailor Moon by sending the other Sailor Soldiers, who
had been made evil, to kill her, and has Tuxedo Kamen kneel and kiss her feet. She challenges
Eternal Sailor Moon, and she accepts. In Act 51, she uses her Galactica Inflation attack
against Sailor Moon, and they fight until they finally come upon the Galaxy Cauldron. There
is a surge of energy from within the Cauldron, and Galaxia falls from the edge of the cliff.
Sailor Moon reaches out and saves her. The disillusioned Galaxia cannot understand why
Sailor Moon saved her, but Sailor Moon explains to her that she saw the lonliness of herself
inside of her. She says that because all of her friends are gone, she has no one else to
fight for, and she does not want to lose anyone else, even Galaxia. Finally Galaxia comes
to understand Sailor Moon's purity and goodness and believes that she has finally found the
strongest planet. Her bracelets crack and she dies, leaving behind only her Saffer Crystal.
