BANANE:
Anime | Name Origin
SAILOR MOON SUPERS MOVIE

Banane is one of the cuckoo faeries from the Sailor Moon SuperS movie who serves
Queen Badiane by
collecting children. He first appears steering a floating gondola full of children with his
flute towards Marzipannu Castle. Two other faeries, Poupelin and Orangeat, arrive at the castle
at the same time. The Sailor Senshi also float toward Marzipannu Castle on a floating gondola, but
Banane and Orangeat attack them with cannon balls. They arrive unharmed, but the faeries attack
with
BonBon Babies.
Banane controls orange BonBon Babies. During the course of the attack,

Sailor Mars destroys Banane's flute with her Mars Flame Sniper attack, causing the faerie
to turn into a orange cuckoo bird that flies away. Banane's seiyuu is
Nobuhiko Kazama. He appears
only in the Sailor Moon SuperS movie. In the Materials Collection, Naoko Takeuchi says that
Banane is reptilian, his tongue sticks out, and that the image is of bananas. His outfit is
very strange; it makes him look like a large banana.. The Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon SuperS
Movie Memorial Album calls Banane a "kakko no yosei," meaning "cuckoo faerie."
NAME ORIGIN
According to the Materials Collection, the romanization of Banane's name is literally

is what we see in the Materials Collection.
