PGSM BIO

Usagi Tsukino is an average 14-year-old girl. She is a second year student at Juuban Junior High School, adores the pop idol Minako Aino and the mysterious senshi Sailor V, and loves to sing karaoke at the local Crown Karaoke Centre. In Act 01, she wakes up to Minako Aino's brand new hit "C'est la vie." She is chronically late, and as she is running to school that morning, a strange stuffed plushie cat falls from the sky and lands on her head! She figures that it must have fallen from a bridge overhead, so she places the cat back upon the ledge from which she thinks it fell, and continues on her way. Later that night, the cat wakes her up and introduces herself as Luna. The cat then tells Usagi that she is Sailor Moon, and that a terrible evil has befallen the planet. She tells her that as Sailor Moon, she is one of the four Sailor Guardians whose mission it is to protect the princess. Sailor Moon must find the princess and the Maboroshi no Ginzuishou, and fight off Dark Kingdom villains. Usagi is naturally a very warm and gentle young girl. She can become friends with almost anyone, and often goes out of her way to befriend girls that are loners or social outsiders. The girls that she meets along the way are each identified as senshi themselves - Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Jupiter - and become Usagi's closest friends. She is very loyal to them, and will do anything to protect them, even enter battle. During her many battles, she is occasionally helped by a mysterious masked man called Tuxedo Kamen. She develops an enormous crush on the man, not knowing that his true identity is as Mamoru Chiba, an obnoxious jerk who is mean to her. She is also unaware that he is searching for the Maboroshi no Ginzuishou as well. Mamoru is actually quite taken with Usagi, but unable to express those feelings because he is committed to have an arranged marriage with a girl named Hina. Usagi is quite heartbroken over this, until she finds out that Mamoru and Tuxedo Kamen are one and the same, giving her hope that he has romantic feelings for her deep down. The trauma of Tuxedo Kamen's death prompts Usagi to transform into Princess Serenity, and her past life as a princess is revealed.
