PGSM BIO
Rei Hino is a 14-year-old girl who works as a Shinto shrine maiden at Hikawa Jinja, where she
also lives. She attend T*A Private Girls' School, and has mysterious psychic abilities. She
has a very difficult time trusting others. In Act 03, mysterious disappearances of young
school girls are occurring near Hikawa Jinja. Rumours are circulating that a shrine maiden there
has cast a spell, causing these vanishings. One day, as Usagi and Ami are discussing the
mystery, Usagi accidentally bumps into Rei. Rei is very cold to Usagi. After they part ways,
Usagi notices that the girl dropped a beaded bracelet with the name "REI" on it. Usagi decides
to return the bracelet, so she visits Hikawa Jinja the next day. When she arrives, she finds
several angry students ganging up on Rei, as they believe she is causing the disappearances.
Usagi returns the girl's bracelet. Ami later discovers who will be the next victim to vanish,
and she and Usagi rush to the scene to disguise themselves as shrine maidens and watch to try
to help. When they arrive, however, it is too late, and they find Rei standing over the
victim. A portal to the Dark Kingdom opens above them, and the victim, Rei, and Usagi are
sucked into it. When the youma captures Sailor Moon and binds her, Rei's bracelet turns into
a wrist brooch, with which she transforms into Sailor Mars. Rei is willing to fight alongside
Sailor Moon, but is very reluctant to be friends with Usagi and Ami, or to be part of the
Sailor Team. She is determined to work alone, but eventually finds her way into the group.
She is very intintuitive, and a quite strong Guardian.
