Luna - Cat Form
Luna is a talking black cat who is Sailor Moon's guardian. She helps Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon) in various ways throughout the series. She appears first in episode 001.

Luna - Human Form
In the anime, Luna becomes a human only in the Sailor Moon S movie. She wishes to become human for her love interest, Kakeru, a human. When Sailor Moon uses the power of the Ginzuishou, she wishes for Luna to become Human, only for the night. She tells Kakeru that she is Princess Kaguya and takes him into space in this form, thus granting his wish. He knows that she is Luna, however, and she tells him that he must go back to Earth to await the return of his Princess, Himeko.
