Sorano is a friend of ChibiUsa's, who attends school with her at Juuban Elementary School. He
looks and act like Gurio Umino, with strange glasses and spiky hair. His first appearance is
in ChibiUsa's Picture Diary #1, Volume 05, telling his classmates that the new transfer student
Lyrica Hubert is the daughter of the U Country ambassador, and that she lives in the old U
Country embassy, which is reputed to be haunted. He accompanies ChibiUsa, Momoko, and Kyuusuke
to Lyrica's house to take her work to her house (as she has missed several days of school).
They discover that Lyrica is a vampire, and that she wants to drink their blood! Luckily,
Sailor Moon and Sailor V save them just in time. Sorano's second and final appearance is in
ChibiUsa's Picture Diary #2, Volume 10, making note of the Sailor Moon watches that everyone has.
