MIE SAYAMA

Mie Sayama was a little girl that Minako Aino met in episode 052. She was a student in the Tulip Class at Shiba Kindergarten. When Minako met her, she was being bullied by some older boys. Minako walked her to the bus to go to school. Later that afternoon, Minako saw her getting bullied by three older boys again. Yet again, Minako stopped the boys and greeted the girl. They introduced themselves to each other, and Mie talked about how she really admired Sailor Moon (she even had a Sailor Moon patch on her jacket!). Minako asked if she knew who Sailor Venus was, but Mie did not. Mie asked if Sailor Moon really even existed, but Minako told her that as long as she believed, then Sailor Moon was real. Minako even said that she had met Sailor Moon, so Mie asked her to come talk to the boys who bullied her, since they did not believe in Sailor Moon. Minako agreed to do so.

Minako went to the kindergarten to talk to the children. She told a large group of them that Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus really do exist! A boy in the front row said that he wouldn't believe it until he saw them, and several other students agreed. Mie sagely said that believing in them was important. Minako confirmed this, saying that if they kept believing, one day they would see them. Some of the kids were still skeptical. Eventually, a teacher appeared and told the children that it was time to go home. When she told them that she wouldn't be on the bus today, they were very disappointed, although Minako offered to go in her place. Meanwhile, Usagi and the other senshi had discovered that a youma was attacking busses full of young kindergarten students in Tokyo. The youma was stealing energy for the aliens Ail and An. Ami determined that Shiba Kindergarten would be the next school attacked, so they sent Usagi to investigate. She used her disguise pen to transform into a "sweet and stylish kindergarten teacher" and made her way onto the same bus that Minako and Mie had boarded.

Once on the bus, Minako and Usagi led the children in singing the Sailor Moon theme song. The Cardian Gigaros soon appeared and leapt onto the bus. The children were terrified, but Minako assured them that Sailor Moon would come to their rescue in a situation like this. Usagi attemted to attack the Cardian, but was knocked through the door and off the bus. She used the opportunity to transform into Sailor Moon while no one was looking. As the children looked on to see Sailor Moon battle Gigaros, Minako slipped away and transformed into Sailor Moon. Working together as the kids cheered them on, the two Senshi were ultimately able to destroy Gigaros. Afterwards, they all believed in Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus. Later, Mie and Minako talked about their day. The little girl said that both Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus were great, and that she was thinking of becoming a Sailor Venus fan! Mie's seiyuu was Taeko Yamada.
