Shingo Tsukino

ANIME & MANGA

Shingo Tsukino is Usagi's twelve-year-old younger brother. Shingo appears first in Episode 01 of the anime, and Act 01, Volume 01 of the manga. He and Usagi fight like normal siblings, and he calls her names such as "Stupid Usagi." He often teases her about her clumsiness and laziness, but it is evident that the two siblings love and care for each other very much. He enjoys video games and playing pranks on Usagi. He respects Sailor Moon and Sailor V immensely, but of course does not know their true identities. In the beginning, he is very afraid of cats, as he was bitten

by one when he was younger, and he cannot stand Luna. Sailor Moon appeared to him and asked him to watch over Luna, which seemed to ease his fear. Shingo attends school with ChibiUsa at Juuban Municipal Primary School, where he makes good grades. Some of his other classmates include Mika Kayama, Momoko Momohara, and Kyusuke Sarashina. For a time, Shingo had a crush on Ami, as he felt that she treated him with more respect than the other girls. Shingo's seiyuu in the anime is Chiyoko Kawashima.

Did You Know?

When Shingo was a baby, he was bitten on the nose by a cat. He terrified of all cats until episode 005, when Sailor Moon tells him to be nice to Luna.
Shingo is based on the real-life little brother of Naoko Takeuchi, the creator of Sailor Moon.

In Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Shingo Tsukino is played by Naoki Takeshi. He first appears in Act 01, waking up his sister, Usagi. He often bickers and argues with Usagi, but he still helps her wake up and go to school in the morning. He keeps to himself, and is never shown with friends. He enjoys playing video games.
