Hina Kusaka is a character that appears only in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. She is played by
Moeco Matsushita,
and appears only in Act 16-26. She has been friends with Mamoru since they
were small children. Hina's father took Mamoru in when he was young because he had lost his
parents and his memories. He became Mamoru's benefactor, and afforded him a place to stay
in London while studying abroad. Because Hina's father is Mamoru's benefactor, Hina and
Mamoru are engaged. Mamoru does not actually love Hina, but is with her because it is his
duty. He often seems not to notice her when they are together. Eventually, Hina finds out
that he doesn't love her. The two are supposed to leave for London together, but at the
airport just before they board the plane, she tells him that she doesn't want to be with him
if he doesn't love her, rips up her ticket, and walks away. Hina is about the same age as
Mamoru, and works as a tutor.
