Ayaka is a regular in the fashion magazine CANDy. She has also performed small roles in film and television, making her acting debut in Odoru Daisousasen THE MOVIE 2 (she played someone who was attacked by a vampire). Although she admits that Minako Aino's character is very different from her own personality, she tries hard to separate herself and act the part well. Ayaka has recently done a DVD and several racy bikini photoshoots that have become quite controversial. She has also recently joined the Japanese quartet Nittelgenic in 2004.
