General Characteristics:
Pisces is the most malleable of the twelve signs. Their nature is in need of molding. They can be impressed by and completely absorbed into their environment. They will adapt to their surroundings and respond readily to suggestions, good or bad. They are followers, but they do not always choose the best leaders. They are need of guidance, and without that guidance, they will tend to drift. When, however, they do find the right container to shape them, they are capable of incredible deeds. They will become completely absorbed in their chosen path, often excluding everything else. Pisces are sensitive to everything around them, and that includes the feelings of others. They are generous, caring, and kind, but they tend to be more concerned other people's problems than their own. They will even take on the burdens and problems of others, paying no attention to their own well-being. They seem to have an uncanny sense of perceiving just what a person is in need of, and then delivering it. Their many good qualities such as their compassion, friendliness, and kindness make them likable and popular people. Their manner tends to mirror that of the people they are with. However, they can sometimes be secretive, which may drive friends away. Pisces tend to be very giving in all relationships and friendships. In matters of the heart, they tend to seek a soul mate rather than a bed mate. They seek perfection in all matters, but because perfection cannot exist, they are easily misled because they want to believe. They can be led astray time and time again by empty promises, but will continue to hold their faith and continue looking for their ideal. Pisces are not practical people, and often have a dreamy and impractical nature (which sometimes causes distress to those close to them). They are also not very decisive, and tend to change thier minds many times. They can be easily diverted from their purposes, and will apt to live a sort of shiftless life, searching for some purpose in which to immerse themselves. The 'absent-minded professor' is a classic Pisces character. However, they are sensitive and instinctual people, rather than intellectual or mechanical. They can discourage easily and feel unappreciated, causing them to move onto other tasks. They are initiators - they prefer to allow circumstances and events to motivate them, and then respond. Pisces have a greater than average instinct for luxury, but they can often become too fond of luxuries, leading them to seek a life of ease.

How Michiru fits the profile:
The changeable, impressionable nature of Pisces is represented by her mirror, which reflects things around it. Michiru is completely absorbed in the tasks that she chooses to undertake, such as her skills as a violinist, her duties as a senshi, and her maternal care of Hotaru. Sailor Neptune's role as a senshi seems to be as more of a follower... she doesn't initiate battles, but rather follows the others into battle to perform her duty. While she is a brilliant woman, her personality is much more sensitive, intuitive, and emotional. Pisces tend to seek a soul-mate, and Michiru has found hers in Haruka.
