Codename wa Sailor V is the prequel to Sailor Moon. It is a story about Minako Aino's life with Artemis as Sailor V before meeting with the other senshi. It originally appeared in the summer 1991 debut of Run-Run magazine and ran until November 1997, and there were three books with 15 volumes. In 2004, the books were re-released with new covers and more color pages, but this time condensed into only two books.
