Stars Misconceptions

Welcome! Here are some common misconceptions centered around the Sailor Moon Stars season.

One- Chibi Chibi/Chibi Chibi Moon is Usagi's second daughter or grand-daughter.
FACT: in the anime, she is said to be the Star Seed of Galaxia in the form of Chibi Chibi. Galaxia had tried to seal Chaos in her body, and when it started to take over, Galaxia sent her star seed into the far reaches of space. In the manga, Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon was the future form of Sailor Cosmos that was defeated by Chaos and returned to the past in order to guide Sailor Moon to the Galaxy Cauldron to destroy it and Chaos.

Two- The Sailor senshi of the stars are called the Sailor Stars.
FACT:the senshi of the Stars are called the Starlights. Sailor Stars is the name
of the final season of Sailor Moon.

Three- The Threelights are boys that transforms into girls:
FACT: In the anime, the way the Starlights transform into males completely is unknown. Naoko Takeuchi was very upset that the animators changed it so that they were male until they transform, as only real females can be sailor senshi. In the manga, the Threelights are completely female, dressed as males to call to their missing princess.

Four- -Seiya was trying to steal Usagi away from Mamoru:
FACT: As a man, Seiya fell for Usagi; to him, Usagi reminded him of his princess, and was drawn to her warm and kind nature. Usagi might have had some feelings for him, but in the end still loved Mamoru so much that she never strayed from her feelings for him. In the manga, Seiya found friendship and comfort in Usagi in a world that was starting to fall apart by the Sailor Wars. It never advanced any farther than her wanting to be friends and protect Usagi.

Five- The Threelights/Starlights are brothers and/or sisters:
FACT: Their names were presented in Western order, that is first name then last name. However in Eastern society, the last names are presented first, followed by the first name. Kou is their first name and Seiya Taiki and Yaten are their surnames, hince they are not related. Also their birthdays are several months apart, making it impossible for them to be related.

Six-  Mamoru gave Usagi an engagement ring before he left:
FACT: Mamoru in fact gave Usagi a promise ring, a pre-engagement ring.
